Study of Firearm Storage Practices among Married Couple Households with Children

The data from this study was collected for a dissertation proposed and directed by a doctoral student in the UNC Department of Health Behavior and Health Education. Our researchers provided consultation on sample design and instrument development. Over the course of the study, the SRU completed 179 telephone interviews with married women in order to determine how the guns in their home are stored and to identify factors affecting decision making about gun storage in married households with children.
