UNC School of Public Health Continuing Education Needs Assessment

This assessment was part of the UNC School of Public Health Office of Continuing Education's ongoing efforts to understand and serve the continuing education needs of health professionals throughout North Carolina and the Southeast. To obtain information on current continuing education needs and to assess interest in new educational technologies (Web courses, for example), the Office of Continuing Education designed and implemented a mail survey of health professionals in the Southeast during the summer of 1999. The SRU assisted in a number of development tasks for this project, including sample design, questionnaire design, and development of a mail data collection protocol. SRU staff entered 531 returned surveys and submitted a final analysis report documenting study methodology and survey results.
