This study, started by the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center, was aimed at learning more about how health conditions affect people. The overall goal of this project is to understand why low income groups, in comparison to other income levels, have poor arthritis and other health status outcomes. Using participants already enrolled in the North Carolina Musculoskeletal Health (MSK) Project, the SRU conducted telephone interviews with MSK participants in order to further our understanding about the relationship between community and health. Out of the 2420 participants called, the SRU completed 1491 interviews by the end of calling. | |
