North Carolina Needs Assessment for Oral Cancer Control

This study involved a random digit dial (RDD) telephone survey that sampled 1,096 North Carolina residents in an attempt to identify public awareness and knowledge of oral and pharyngeal cancers (OPC) was conducted in 2001. The survey was used to identify levels of public awareness about OPC risks, risk prevention, signs and symptoms as well as access to care.
