American Cancer Society Sun Exposure Skin Protection Survey

The general goal of this national telephone interview survey was to provide a baseline profile of the prevalence of attitudes, knowledge, and behavior of children aged 11-18, and their parents, regarding exposure to the sun and protection of the skin from the harmful effects of the sun. Using a stratified mixed RDD and age-targeted list sample of telephone numbers, 1200 parent-child pairs of interviews were completed from August to November 1998.
