This study examines how American youth, age 14 - 17, and their parents identify and respond to potential injury risks to adolescents in the labor force. The overall goal is to develop recommendations for policy, educational, and training interventions that will improve the safety of youth. The SRU used a dual frame, random digit dialing and age-targeted, approach to survey a national sample of 924 pairs of teens and parents in order to examine teen work conditions and behaviors across the nation. All data collection was completed in 2003. | |
